The City of
Pompano Beach Street Maintenance Division maintains the balance of
roadways (274 centerline miles). This include: pavement maintenance,
bituminous paving, and pavement markings, stormwater drainage inlets,
and right-of-way vegetation maintenance.

If you have concerns about the conditions
of parking lots at shopping centers or in other commercial areas, please
contact a business owner near the parking lot to express your concern.
These lots are privately owned and not maintained by the city. Any
questions about parking lots at city-owned facilities may be directed to
Pompano Beach Public Works at 954.786.4061.

Maintenance Request Online.
This division maintains and constructs city streets, storm drains, catch basins, and sidewalks in addition to the maintenance of waterways,
medians, parks and playgrounds. The City Nursery provides and propagates plants and
trees for special events, beautification for placement throughout the City, and the annual
tree giveaway. We are currently a member of Tree City USA and the National Arbor
Foundation.
The Adopt A Street Program was initiated to promote a litter free environment.
We
also coordinate and provide sanitation services. Our services and equipment are
rendered to other departments as needed. It is our goal to accommodate the residents
of Pompano Beach, to provide safe thoroughfares, and enhance the city's appearance.

Sand
and Spurs Equestrian Park is situated on 12 acres of land
adjacent to the Goodyear Blimp base, providing grounds for the
care, housing and exercising of equine. There are 49 privately
owned stalls that may be for sale from time-to-time, and six
City-owned stalls which are currently available for rent.

Amenities include eight grass paddocks and portable paddocks, a
lighted main ring for night use which is larger than arena size, two median rings, two
small rings, and a standard, small dressage ring. Water and
electric is provided, along with trash/waste pickup. Space is
available for horse trailer parking. A BBQ area is available for every day use or

Our goal
is to maintain all city buildings & facilities such as,
parks, park pavilions, park bathrooms, wood benches and tables, drinking fountains, beach
shower pads, wood fences, city street lights and the City Pier. The building Maintenance
division is staffed with 3 Electricians, 3 Carpenters, 3 General
