Recovery Zone Facility Bonds Application
Program
Extended through July 29,
2010
Recovery Zone Facility Bonds (RZFBs) are designed to assist
private companies and developers finance economic
development projects located in Recovery Zones without
having to qualify within the other limited categories of
private activity bond financing. RZFBs are a new type of
bond program that was enacted under the American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to provide tax incentives for
state and local units of government by allowing designated
projects to be financed with lower borrowing costs to
promote job creation and economic recovery in areas affected
by employment decline.
Specifically, private companies and developers must use bond
proceeds to create business expansion and create jobs.
The Finance Department in partnership with the Development
Services Department invites all eligible applicants to
submit
an application prior to June 21, 2010
to apply for an allocation of RZFBs from the City of Pompano
Beach. Program information, including eligibility and
program requirements, as well as the Program Application are
available by clicking the highlighted text below. For
additional information, please contact Suzette Sibble at the
City’s Finance Department at 954.786.4680.
