Registration for all Summer Camps and Programs begin May 1. The dates of the Summer Camps and Programs may change to match the Broward County School Board calendar. For more information on Summer Camps and Programs please call staff at the facilities where the camps are being held.

Junior Ocean Lifeguard Summer Camp

Session I - June 15-July 3; Session II–July 6-July 24. Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8:30 a.m.–Noon Ages: 9-17 Fees: Residents: $200/child; Non-residents: $260/child; plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee. All applicants must pass a Swimming Proficiency Test that includes: (1) Swim 150 yards (6 lengths) non-stop with a time limit of five minutes. (2) Tread water for at least three minutes. (3) Swim 5 yards underwater. No Exceptions. Test Dates: Sat. only on the half-hour from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Aquatic Center Registration Dates: Session I – May 16-June 13; Session II – May 16-July 4 Registration will not be accepted after these dates. Summer’s Fun & Fitness Camp

June 8 - August 14; Weekly Sessions Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Ages: 9-14 Fees: $80/child weekly plus a $15 one time non-refundable registration fee. Camp will be held at Pompano Beach Middle School – 310 NE 6 Street. Camp includes supervised activities in a variety of sports such as softball, basketball, flag football and tennis along with other activities. Pompano Beach Highlands Center Summer Program

June 8 - August 14 Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Ages: 6-8 (must be 6 years old and completed kindergarten) Fees: Registration: May 1-30 - Residents: $200/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee; Non-residents: $250/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee. Registration after May 30 - Residents: $250/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee; Non-residents: $350/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee. Camp is held at Highlands Park – 1650 NE 50 Court Your child will participate in field trips, swimming, arts and crafts, games and have lots of fun. Participants attend field trips for a nominal fee. Mitchell/Moore Center Summer Program

June 8 - August 14 Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Ages: Ages 6-12 (Must be 6 years old and completed kindergarten) Fees: Registration: May 1-30 - Residents: $200/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee; Non-residents: $250/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee. Registration after May 30 - Residents: $250/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee; Non-residents: $350/child plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee. Junior Golf Summer Camp

June 8–July 24. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Ages: 6-18 (Must be 6 years old and completed kindergarten) Fees: $125/child weekly The Golf Pro will host weekly camp sessions at the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course – 1101 North Federal Highway. Summer Tennis Camp

June 8–August 14. Camp will be hosted by the Tennis Pro at the Tennis Center – 920 NE 18 Ave. For additional camp information please stop by the Tennis Center Pro Shop for a camp brochure which has detailed information about the camp along with fees and hours. Young Explorers (License #45814) and Explorers Summer Camps June 9-August 8; Ages 3 –5; 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Camp is held at Pompano Preschool – 1401 NE 4 Street. Fees: $80/child weekly, plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Participants must be 3 years old and toilet trained to attend camp. Half-day schedules are available. Drama Summer Camp

June 8 - 26 Hours: Mon.–Fri. 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Ages: 6-15 Fees: $450/3 weeks Camp is held at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center, 1801 NE 6 Street Camp will be taught by theatre professionals, the children will perform a full scale production of “Alice in Wonderland” during the week of June 22-26. Explorers Camp

June 8 - August 14; Weekly Sessions Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Ages: 5–8 (must have completed kindergarten) Fees: $80/child weekly, plus a one time $15 non-refundable registration fee. Camp will be held at Pompano Preschool – 1401 NE 4 Street. Children are grouped by age at the beginning of camp. Half-day sessions are available. McNair Center & CD Youth Summer Program

June 8-August 14 Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Ages: 6-10 Fees: Camp Fees are based on a sliding scale. Camp is held at the McNair Center – 951 NW 27 Ave. This camp is being sponsored by Children’s Services, Changing Direction 4 Youth & Families and the City of Pompano Beach. The children enrolled in this camp will participate in academic programs in reading and math along with a variety of fun activities and field trips.
