Registration for all Summer Camps and Programs begin May 1. The dates of the Summer Camps and Programs may change to match the Broward County School Board calendar. For more information on Summer Camps and Programs please call staff at the facilities where the camps are being held.

Junior Ocean Lifeguard Summer Camp

Ages 9-17; Camp held on the Municipal Beach, 10 Pompano Beach Blvd. Camp Sessions: Mon. – Fri. 8:30 a.m.–Noon; Session I - June 9–June 27, Session II - June 30-July 18. For more information call 954-786-4111 or Email questions to wade.rickerson@copbfl.com. Registration Fees: Residents: $200/child; Nonresidents: $260/child; plus a $15 non-refundable registration fee. Program cost includes: membership in the USLA, Jr. Lifeguard T-shirt, Lifeguard Beanie, lunch following local dual meet Jr. Lifeguard Competition and end of summer awards picnic. All participants must provide their own royal blue shorts at the time of camp. Participation in Regional and/or National Jr. Lifeguard Competitions through the USLA are optional and will result in additional personal costs. All applicants must pass a Swimming Proficiency Test that includes: (1) Swim 150 yards (6 lengths) non-stop with a time limit of five minutes. (2) Tread water for at least three minutes. (3) Swim 5 yards underwater. No Exceptions. Test Dates: Sat. only May 3-June 7, on the half-hour from 8:30 a.m.–11:30a.m. at the Aquatics Center.

Summer’s Fun & Fitness Camp

Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Ages 9-14; Weekly sessions June 9-August 8 Fees: $80/week plus a $15 one time nonrefundable registration fee.The camp is held at Pompano Beach Middle School. Camp includes supervised activities in a variety of sports such as softball, basketball, flag football and tennis along with other activities. Pompano Beach Highlands Center Summer Program

June 9-August 8; Ages 6-8; Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Child must be 6 years old and completed kindergarten at time of registration. Registration: May 1-May 24: $200/Residents; $300/Nonresidents plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Registration: After May 24: $250/Residents; $400/Nonresident plus a $15 one time nonrefundable registration fee. North Broward Summer Program

June 9 – August 8; Children Ages 9-14; Mon.-Fri. 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Registration: May 1-May 24, 2008: $200/Residents; $300/Nonresidents plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Registration: After May 24, 2008: $250/Residents; $400 Nonresidents plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Spend your summer with us! Mitchell/Moore Center Summer Program

Children Ages 6-12, Camp Dates: June 9 – August 8 2008 Registration: May 1-May 24, 2008: $200/Residents; $300/Nonresidents plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Registration: After May 24, 2008: $250/Residents; $400/Nonresidents plus a $15 one time nonrefundable registration fee. The program includes educational field trips, arts and crafts, games, recreational activities, swimming and lots of fun! Child must be 6 years old at time of registration. Junior Golf Summer Camp

June 2-July 25; Mon.-Fri. - 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Weekly camp held at the Municipal Golf Course. Cost: $125/child plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. For more information call 954-781-0426.

Junior Tennis Camp

June 9-August 15 – Camp Registration begins May 1
Full Day Recreational Camp: 8:30-2:30 p.m. $160 Weekly; $40 Daily
½ Day Recreational Camp: 8:30-11:30 p.m. $110 Weekly; $30 Daily
Full Day Competitive Camp: 8:30-2:30 p.m. $250 Weekly; $60
½ Day Competitive Camp: Daily 8:30-11:30 p.m. $200 Weekly; $50 Daily
After Camp Activities: 2:30-5:30 p.m. $50 Weekly; $12 Daily

Young Explorers (License #45814) and Explorers Summer Camps June 9-August 8; Ages 3 –5; 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Camp is held at Pompano Preschool – 1401 NE 4 Street. Fees: $80/child weekly, plus a one time $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Participants must be 3 years old and toilet trained to attend camp. Half-day schedules are available. Curtain Call Playhouse Drama Summer Camp

Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m.–3 p.m. - June 9 -27; Ages 6-15 Camp is held at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center. Fees: $450/child, plus a $15 nonrefundable registration fee. Explore creativity and imagination through theatre! Each child will have a part in a play to be performed for the public in the last week of camp. CD Youth Summer Program

Children Ages 6-10, Camp Dates: June 9 – August 15 – 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. This program is held at McNair Center, 951 NW 27 Ave. Camp Fees are based on a sliding scale. The children enrolled in this camp will participate in academic programs in reading and math along with a variety of fun activities and field trips.
